The Position

As an Analytics Engineer / BI Data Engineer at LIZY, you’re the backbone of our data-driven engine. You’ll own the reliability of our data pipelines flowing into our data lake and empower every team across LIZY to self-serve through trusted datasets and stable dashboards.

You’ll work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to break down silos, unify our KPIs, and build a single source of truth that scales with our rapid European expansion. Your goal? Turn fragmented data into actionable insights that fuel smarter decisions and help LIZY become the #1 digital car leasing platform in Europe 🏆.

What you’ll be doing

• Take full ownership of our data pipelines, ensuring maximum reliability across our core systems (BigQuery, CRM, operational data bases) and resolving issues to keep our data lake stable.

• Architect and govern our data landscape by building performant, well-documented data management standards that scale with our growth.

• Unify our KPI logic across Finance, Sales, and Ops to create a single source of truth, ensuring alignment across business units.

• Empower teams through our BI stack by building essential analysis and training users to self-serve their data needs with confidence.

• Scale our data availability by integrating new sources into our ecosystem, moving away from manual ad-hoc analysis toward centralized, sustainable quantitative knowledge.

A good candidate is:

• a pragmatic problem-solver who loves delivering incremental value rather than chasing large, abstract long-term projects

• passionate about building structure, enforcing definitions, and breaking down knowledge and data silos

• energized by translating technical concepts into clear business impact and coaching non-technical users

• eager to work in a fast-paced scale-up where your work directly shapes how an entire company makes decisions

Your profile:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or BI development roles

• Expert proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g. Python)

• Proven experience owning and managing ETL/ELT pipelines. Experience with dbt is a significant advantage

• Hands-on experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent BI platforms

• Strong ability to translate technical concepts (SQL, pipeline issues) into clear business impact

• A passion for centralizing data, eliminating fragmented tooling, and bringing order to chaos

• Fluent in English; additional European languages (Dutch, French) are a plus
